Hyundai-Kia's low-volume single electric car, available since 2014, is loaded with smart features that electric-car drivers will enjoy. It combines quirky, fun looks with a decent EV driving range of 111 miles. However, the Soul EV's range will be eclipsed by the Hyundai Kona Electric, when the 250-mile EV arrives in late 2018. In fact, a new version of the Soul Electric, coming as soon as 2019, might use the Kona's platform to provide a lot more range.
